YOSHIKI - famous Japanese songwriter, drummer of X JAPAN, and classical pianist - debuted his first fashion collection on October 17th at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. YOSHIKIMONO is said to be a fusion of his music and fashion which was interpreted into the punk-style kimonos.

Many modern prints (leopard, checkered & more) were used in combination of the unique cuts and lengths that was paired with killer shoes. With the use of foreign models and their silhouettes, the style of these kimonos are targeted to reach a world-class crowd. I personally love the edginess and how the traditional kimono can be worn in the global scene.
