HITT is a solo artist, composer and musician with a personal style. He uses a mixture of rock, jazz and acoustics where piano is the key element. This time, the main reason for his European tour is to celebrate Ramen Events’ 6th anniversary. We were able to catch some time with HITT before he started his performance to answer some questions.
VKH: Would you please introduce yourself?
HITT: Hi everyone! I am HITT, a solo singer from Japan. I'm a very heart full singer and my fans are called HITTERS.
VKH: How has your European tour been doing so far?
HITT: Very alive. As I am human, I have worries like everyone else, but when I sing on stage I feel relieved, as I am relieving my stress. The place to be is on stage, growing in music and my personal life as well.
VKH: What has been the most memorable moments of your tour?
HITT: There isn't any detail that is most memorable, as every single show is very precious to me.
HITT: Yes, of course! I want to see everyone again. It makes me happy every time I come back for a show because of the love I am receiving from everyone. It makes me very happy.
VKH: In November, you released your new CD, “No singing, No life”. Can you tell us a bit more about it?
HITT: It’s a very warm album. This album isn't rock, but more acoustics; softer sounds like jazz, piano, and soft guitar. The lyrics are more human, as I am now writing songs about life. Just like the cover picture, it’s more classical. I want everyone to listen to it and understand the lyrics and about me.
VKH: Which of the tracks is your favourite and which would recommend to your fans?
HITT: It’s a very hard question, but if I have to choose one song, I would choose the title song, “No singing, No life”. I want everyone to understand the song, so in the CD book, I put in the Romanji. I hope that there will be translations on the internet so everyone can understand the song.
VKH: Can you tell us a bit how much you have evolved as a solo artist from the past years?
HITT: I have become more simple-minded. I am now using less make-up, more casual style. I want to be more natural and happy with who I am.
VKH: You have already played 5 shows so far in France and Luxembourg. Is there a show that has stood out the most to you?
HITT: Louvre & Roubaix. Roubaix because of the celebration of Ramen Events’ 6th anniversary. Also because my fans there do a lot of events regarding seeing me live. It makes me very happy every time. They are huge fans.
VKH: What are your thoughts on the cancelled show in Munich?
HITT: The pre-sale was very low, so we had to unfortunately cancel it. It was a pity because they (the fans) wanted to see me. We had a pre-sale but the venue called and said that the pre-sale was very bad. Even though we received a lot of emails from fans saying that they were going to buy tickets at the door, it is always very hard to tell about the statistics from this, so we had no choice but the cancel the show.
Even though I am willing to play a show for the people that bought a ticket, considering factors like travelling over 1000 km to get to Munich, we came to the conclusion to cancel it. As we might make a loss because of the gas, equipment, and the venue, the price will add on so we couldn't do it in the end. I would have loved to play for them. I want to become big and do a lot of one man concerts but we can’t push it.

VKH: It is almost the end of the year, have you already set any goals to reach for 2014?
VKH: We have reached the end of the interview. Thank you very much for taking the time to answer our questions! Would you please send a message to our readers and your fans?
