REVIEW: Versailles - Truth PV

With the sad news of Versailles going on hiatus that has been announced, the band gave their fans one last PV.

The PV is classic Versailles, but it seems they focusedon the band more than they did in their usual theatrical PVs. No actors, no complete story, just the band, like Serenade and Vampire.

The sound of Versailles has never changed dramatically. They were able to stay on one path and keep that signature sound through all their songs. This song Truth shows that even though they are going on hiatus, their music hasn't wavered.

Even though, Truth has "classic" written on it, there is still something that makes this song different. The twist that makes it different is the rhythmic changes and the small melody. Versailles always tends to find something that will forever be that song’s mark. Whether it be a riff or the melody. For Truth, this song’s hook may be the chorus’ melody since it is very simple and smooth.

Adding onto this melody is the emotion that is behind it. The tone of this song seems to fit the band’s state of the moment. There tends to be a feeling of holding on. One last hurrah if you will. With Truth being one of Versailles’ faster songs, there is one big character about it that makes it fun to listen to; rhythmic changes! Listing to this song very carefully, it feels like a roller coaster ride. Paying attention to the different sections they have pieced together to make one is amazing. There are some parts where you hear each instrument go off in their own small melodies, before going back to the main melody. All of this put together is what makes your ears happy.

Be sure to check out the band latest album. They may not be gone yet, but let's show them that we hope they come back soon!
