For those of you who do not know Raphael, here is a small introduction written by Tokyo Hive!
Raphael made their major debut in 1999 with members YUKI (Vo), Kazuki (G), YUKITO (B), and HIRO (Dr). At only 18 years old, the band accomplished their first Nippon Budokan live in March of 2000. In October of the same year, Kazuki suddenly passed away due to a tranquilizer overdose. The band then put a halt to their activities after their nationwide tour in January of 2001.
YUKI, YUKITO, and HIRO decided to hold this comeback live after many discussions. Through their official website, YUKI commented, “The last day of October 2010. It all started when I stood in front of Kazuki’s grave that I made a resolve to take the stage again.”
He also expressed his gratitude to fans saying, “Until today, we have been saved many times by [our] fans’ love. We were taught the courage and meaning of living in the music world.”
