OFF-TOPIC: iTunes and Visual Kei

(List at bottom of all VK bands I've found if you want to skip the rant, check the comments for bands that others found.)
So, let's all be honest. In this day and age, a majority of the things we want can come to us in a matter of seconds with the internet. We can watch all the movies we want, find any bit of information, discovering things that we would never know about, and connect with people from across the globe. But what I'm here to specifically discuss, is the downloading of music. Legally and Illegally. Visual Kei Heaven does NOT support illegally downloading, file-sharing, or any other form of downloading for a good reason.

When a fan downloads a song for free in a way that is not provided by the band, it is essentially stealing from that band. The members put time, money, and effort into producing the music that we all love. So for every song that is downloaded, the band loses a bit of money, and with many of the Visual Kei bands being indie or unsigned, money is even more important. But then, many of those same bands are near impossible to find in any country outside of Japan and the only option seems to be to order from CD JAPAN. (Which is not a problem, CD JAPAN is an amazing source for music.)

That is the reason why I made this post, if you haven't noticed, the name iTunes is a part of the title. It's there for a reason. Yes, you can find Visual Kei on iTunes. It is a little difficult, and a lot of bands are not on there, but many of our favorites are. For example, I've found many of my favorite bands on iTunes including:

Dir En Grey
Exist Trace
-Oz-
Girugamesh
 The Gazette
 12012
 Nega
 Versailles
 Deluhi
Luna Sea
 Lynch
 Awoi
Sadie
 Phantasmagoria
 Angelo
Gackt
LM.C
Hyde
Ayabie
Plastic Tree
Matenrou Opera
Unsraw
D=OUT
Mucc
Miyavi

You can find all of these bands on iTunes and download your favorite songs, legally, for a very small price which will help the band. Some of them even have PV's available. There are many more on there. If you want to find them, look under the J-pop, Rock, and Pop genres. If you find any bands and want to share, please comment and let us know.

  5. Thank you, I'll update the iTunes list and make the Amazon list.

I should've done that earlier since I bought the Dir En Grey and Exist Trace's album from it.

  6. No problem. Keep an eye out for An Cafe, too. They are supposed to be releasing "Amazing Blue" on iTunes this month, but I haven't seen it go up yet.

  8. You can also buy from the Japanese iTunes store. I don't have a list of bands, but there should be a wide selection of VK there. You have to buy an iTunes Japan gift card from a third party, though.

Also, I may not include these into the post since it would become too long. But I did edit it to tell others to check the comments for more finds.
