Interview with LIX at Anime North

This is the interview I had with Lix. They are amazing guys. They really are super nice guys, sweet and considerate. They are always looking to make fans smile and have a good time. The interview was great. Yuu had some pretty short answers but I think it's because some of the questions were really hard to answer. Chihiro always had a lot to say and you'll see that as you read on!

Q: What made you want to become a musician?

Yuu: I liked writing songs and arranging them

Chihiro: I like attention but it’s more about pleasing people and making them have a great time.

Q: Was it difficult getting into the VK music scene?

Yuu: Not really. I was born with the talent

Chihiro: My mom works as a cosmetic sales woman. So I would try them on and I didn’t have a problem with that.

Q: What did your family and friends think at first? And what do they think now?

Yuu: I don’t know

Chihiro: They supported me because we had a lot of chances to go overseas to perform.

Q: What is your favourite song to play live?

Yuu: as a guitarist “Sicks”

Chihiro: I have 2 favourites “Ai Hime” because I can sing with the fans at the end. The Vampire inspired song “Doukoku no Kiba” so I can bite cute girls.

Q: what influences your music?

Yuu: It just comes

Chihiro: Anime songs and Finland rock music.

Q: who do you idolize?

Yuu: not really anyone.

Chihiro: Aerosmith – vocalist Steven Tyler

Q: What inspired your current look? What influences it?

Chihiro: Not just one thing. Sometimes cosplay. Whatever feels good, there are many influences.

Q: Do you like Anime? Is so what is your favourite? And why?

Chihiro: I can’t choose. There’s so many.

Yuu: Depends on my mood. Hentai manga.

Q: Have you been sightseeing or met any fans? What was the experience like?

Yuu: we did some sightseeing. We went to Banff. In Toronto we went to the CN Tower. Tomorrow we’re going to Niagra.

Chihiro: We checked out the convention. Some people knew about us and came to talk to us.

Q: What is your opinion of the current music scene in Japan?

Yuu: It’s ok if they download a song to hear our music but it’s nice to buy our CD because of the pictures on the jackets.

Chihiro: CD sales are down because of downloads.

Q: What was it like recording your first mini album?

Yuu: it was busy

Chihiro: Current album songs are rearranged and are included. It was hard but fun as well. There are some new songs. (He is refering to some of the older songs they rearranged and included them on the album. They also added a few new songs.)

Q: What is your favourite song on the album?

Yuu: "Doukoku no Kiba"

Chihiro: "Gekijou"

Q: How does it feel to be a part of Starwave Records?

Yuu: we’ve known the label owner for 7- 8 years so it was a natural transition.

Q: would you ever cosplay? If so who would you cosplay?

Chihiro: Of course! There’s a lot I’d want to cosplay. I can’t decide. Kamen Rider.

Yuu: If I had the chance to cosplay I would, nobody in particular.

Q: Where do you see yourself, your music and what do you hope to achieve in the next 10 years?

Yuu: I don’t know

Chihiro: I want to be able to go to countries I haven’t been to, so more people can hear our music.

Q: What message would you like to say to your fans?

Yuu: I’d like to come to Canada again. So thank you and keep supporting us.

Chihiro: We connect with our fans through anime and songs. So we hope to connect more.
