Not too long ago we held a discussion on VKH twitter and VKH facebook about non Japanese visual bands, and we received some positive feed back and support for these types of bands. Now today, I want to introduce to you Seremedy, which is an Alternative Metal Visual Kei band from Sweden.
Seremedy was created by RAY and JENZiiH in 2008 but did not officially start activities as a band until 2010. This band has a sound that varies between light and heavy. Their band line up consist of:

seremedy is actually REALLY good :/. i've known about them for a while, must say i wasn't expecting much but was surprised! and lol at linder and his attempt at vkei facial hair (so not working!) he's really funny though.

ReplyDeleteThey only have one good song, the rest isn't good enough for my liking.
And one big thing that made me stop liking them, the singer can be and I mean can be REALLY mean.
I said one reason of why I didn't like one band, and he was writing that he hated "people like me". He even ask out people on Twitter, since my friends have had him doing that.
So yeah.. big no from me.
lol I thought the facial hair was kinda funny too. but I like their one song.
ReplyDeleteEr.. Yeah, I don't care for this band that much either. Out of the songs I've heard from them, they sound more like western emo than Visual Rock. But I'm totally open to non-Japanese VK bands as long as...they are VK. XDD
ReplyDeleteNashimoto - that is sooooo BULLSHIT the singer is a WONDERFUL person and he rly care for people around. I know since he talked to me several times even irl in Japan on their tour and he never harm others like you say. You probably just got the whole thing wrong! =P Get to know a person before judging!!!!
ReplyDeleteMany bandmembers are more mean than him you know. I have lived in Tokyo for two years and the most of the bands are shitheads, so just calm down.
Seremedy are all very kind and warm people. They really care for their fans and even people that are not die-hard fans like me. They talk to everyone and are really openminded.

It's very important for visual kei that western visual bands start to emerge. Perhaps they're not the best but they're certainly qualified to be labeled as a "visual-kei" - band. I happen to like some of their songs and i'm hoping to see a PV asap lol. The vocals need more work and that so called beard has to go! XD
ReplyDeleteBut other than that they're even more talented as a group than many japanese visual bands. The girly looking guitarist is fucking amazing and cna shread a guitar very nicely! I hope that we get to see more of them in the future and i wish that more western vk-bands start to come out.
And for those of you who think that visual-kei is for japanese only, i give you a big F-U! ;)

ReplyDeleteHe literally wrote "I hate people like you" to me, in a official group. So don't say that I am bullshitting.
And I LIVE in the same country as him, and I've known them since they started the group. Since I was a fan, and even wrote to them and so on.
But to say that he hated people like me after I said why I didn't like an OTHER group, attacking others discussing about them. And what I've heard from more other. I will still think that he is very rude to people who gives criticism.
I hear you Nashimoto. I've seen several times how he reacts when people gives his band negative criticism. His reactions are immature and rude and he basically talks back to anyone who says something bad about their music. That's not very professional imo. If you're in this business you have to be able to take bad criticism, which he obviously can't do.
ReplyDeleteIt is really sad that some of you guys dislike my band because of what "I've wrote" but I hope that you one day will give us another chanse even if you think this bad of me. If not, I can only say that I am sorry for this. I can not really remember me writing the things you've said or the situation around but I wont say it did not happend because even if it might not have been the "real me" you actually talked to you still have got this picture of me and nothing I will write here is gonna change that, so I will keep that in mind for the future.. and also again I'm sorry!
