Japanese power metal heroes, Galneryus, have recently gained a new singer in their releases from the Destiny single to their latest album. However, let us look back into their 2005 album, “Advance to the Fall”, to see how consistent this band has been over it’s career thus far.

4. Fate of the Sadness
5. Deep Affection
6. Dream Place
7. Glorious Aggressor
8. Whisper in the Red Sky

10. Eternal Regret

Those familiar with Galneryus’ blend of power metal and neo-classical themes will have a good idea how this album plays out. Fast instrumentals and higher pitched singing push forward with the accompaniment of a keyboard to deliver a unique twist from much of the Japanese music scene.
The album has some softer songs along the way to balance it out, namely “Deep Affection”, “Dream Place” and “Eternal Regret”. These power ballads are a great addition to the album and are seen throughout the Galneryus discography.
While the band aren’t strictly Visual Kei, some of their PV's have had some costume play and overall it is not an important issue for music of this quality and genre.
The band has seen a few changes over the years. Leda from Deluhi was a member at one stage and as stated earlier the vocalist has recently changed. As this was their second album the line-up was Syu on guitar, Yama-B on vocals, Tsui on bass, Yuhki on keyboards and Junichi Satoh on drums.
The band has since released six more albums, two of which were compilations and become recognised worldwide as a very talented and well-formed power metal composition.
To hear more from Galneryus, their albums are available on iTunes as well as CDJapan. Keep supporting these great artists so they continue to make high quality music.
