Huge news for visual kei fans and metalheads alike: DIR EN GREY has just dropped a teaser PV to promote their upcoming album! The PV is for their song "Ranunculus", which will be included on their upcoming album The Insulated World, which comes out Septeber 26th. As previously mentioned, The Insulated World will be out September 26th, but did you know it will also be DIR EN GREY's 10th album? That's quite a milestone! According to the band's website, the album will come in 3 different "versions": "Regular Version", "First Press Limited Version", and "Limited Deluxe Version.".Additionally, the "Limited Deluxe Version" contains bonus content with the option of being on Blu-Ray DVD or regular DVD discs, so the grand total of types is technically four! All types will include the title tracks from the band's last two singles (Utafumi and Ningen wo Kaburu) along with 11 new tracks (including "Ranunculus"), for a total of 13 tracks.
There's a lot to process here, so let's dive further into the different album versions, artwork, and bonuses! Please note: the tracklists on CD2 are different in the First Press Limited Version and the Limited Deluxe Version. We saw some outlets getting these details slightly confused, so make sure you're aware of this before you pick your purchase!

In addition to the 13-track album, this version includes an expanded edition of the second disk featuring additional remakes of old tracks and live-recorded tracks! On top of that, these versions contain either a regular or Blu-ray DVD (depending on which type you buy) that is full of bonus content including: the PV for "Ranunculus", live footage of the band from multiple tour locations from the spring and summer, and a behind-the-scenes documentary clip documenting the making of The Insulated World.
