Anime Expo, the biggest anime convention in the United States, will be kicking off in just a few short days. The upcoming weekend will be packed with events, guests, and surprises for all those who attend, making it a truly forgettable and fun experience.
Joining AX's esteemed list of guests is CHISA, the vocalist of the visual-kei band, ACME. While being a fashion icon himself, CHISA also personally has a hand in creating ACME's colorful and eye-catching costumes. As CHISA will be the only guest at AX who is from the visual-kei scene, he will be representing the scene's constant collaborations with fashion street-wear brands, such as KINGLYMASK.
The brand KINGLYMASK was created in 2003 in Tokyo's fashion district, Harajuku. The brand is currently gaining a lot of popularity for their genderless style, a genre that is rapidly growing in the fashion scene because of its inclusiveness. The brand already has established various celebrity collaborations and customers that include artists such as i☆Ris, Golden Bomber, Satsuki Nakayama, and more. The brand also has several other lines under its umbrella, including #ootd among others.
HYPER CORE is a brand known for their graphics illustrated by designer Hisacy. Special collaboration LEMONeD HYPER CORE items will be available in limited quantities at Anime Expo; don't miss out on owning something for yourself.
In addition, several DJs will be mixing at the fashion show, to truly create an exciting atmosphere. DJs include American DJs Voia, James Landino, and Mitomoro. Voia is an American dance pop producer. Their work includes Capcom rhythm game CrossXBeats, as well as official remixes and collaborations with big Japanese acts such as Yanakiku, Kumi Koda and TeddyLoid.
