2017 has just started and we already have a basically unbeatable candidate deliviering the possibly most scandalous song of the year. Yes, DADAROMA did a good job to shock people with only one simple sentence making the whole song unfit as smart phone ringtone, part of your birthday playlist and as track for your alarm clock in case you have a boy- or girlfriend. And that's actually pretty sad because the song is really catchy...
Nevertheless, they aren't the only band with dangerous lyrics. So to save you from some very awkward situations we created this list with 10 songs you definitely shouldn't sing along to with people around, unless your level of bravery is beyond imagination.
Those are just a few examples, so feel free to add more in the comments below!
1. DADAROMA - MASTURBATION .
Since it has already been mentioned, here it is! Vocalist Yoshiatsu proudly introduces to you a great way to earn some extra yen: "Please pay money for my masturbation.".
An interesting yet questionable request. In order to avoid painful conversations with people around you about this seemingly profitable idea we recommend you to sing along in private only.
2. SMILE - I was gay
First of all, no, there is nothing wrong with admitting this! That's totally okay and shouldn't be a problem at all! However, unfortunately there are still many people who just can't accept their man-loves-only-woman-and-the-other-way-around-notion to break apart, so once again we ask you to be careful if you don't want any pointless discussions to start!
Besides, band SMILE already disbanded back in 2009. Their vocalist was former 劇情テノール(gekijou tenor) member Kasumi Shinjou.
3. THE BLACK SWAN – I'M SHIT NOODLE, BUT...
I guess there is no need to quote the exact lyrics since you can probably already imagine what they are like... It's not too unusual to offend other people or even yourself in public by using a lot of swearwords. But the question is... why noodles?
Anyways, screaming along to this song when somebody is near still isn't the best choice. Beware of singing it in restaurants or during family dinners especially because some lines may offend the cook...
4. 真天地開闢集団-ジグザグ("True Heaven and Earth Beginnings Group" ZigZag) - 死んでほしい (shinde hoshi)
If you don't speak the language, Japanese songs are far more dangerous than the English ones. Then again, if you don't live in Japan people around you probably won't understand what you're saying either, but you never know after all...
"死んでほしい (shinde hoshi)" means as much as "I want you to die". Doesn't sound so spectacular for lyrics of a visual kei band at first, but the way it's sang is what makes it unique in a bad way: Extremly monotonous and it's being repeated all the time during the chorus. Yes, this could end up being a little creepy... So, better keep your hands off this song during your trip to Japan!
5. 少年記 (shounenki) - BANG ME
Okay, so before somebody is getting mad, let me clarify this first: This song is actually about real love and how telling your beloved one about your feelings is like shooting him or her with a revolver. Something along the lines of this at least.
But, and let's admit it, we all thought about something else when we read the title...
And clearly, the song line "Boy, bang! bang! bang! bang me now, yeah!" doesn't really change the first impression we all had... So, as beautiful as the song is, please be extremly careful when singing it!
You can't really sing this song since it's only growls. However, if you are good at this and the lyrics can still be understood then you should probably warn people around you first...
鬼哭啾啾 (kikoku shuushuu) includes one part about cutting a body into pieces and how this gets one sexually aroused. So please be nice and tell everyone not to eat or drink while playing or singing this slightly disturbing track...
10. VANESSA - ジャック・オフ (JACK OFF)
Okay, so before somebody is getting mad, let me clarify this first: This song is actually about real love and how telling your beloved one about your feelings is like shooting him or her with a revolver. Something along the lines of this at least.

6. BORN - Red Desire
In fact, BORN have so many dangerous songs, we could make a whole list with their music only...
But here is just one example: Red Desire.
No one can really disagree with the statement "Loveless sex is disliked" in the chorus, but nevertheless this might not always be the right thing to say out loud...
Imagine you've just had a fight with your boy- or girlfriend and then this is what you're singing along to. Probably not the best idea. The sentence is later changed to "Loveless sex is a delight" and thus can make such a situation become even worse...

7. GOTCHAROCKA - Marry me, 'cause I hate U
And another relationship-killer, especially if you're planning to get married...
It's hard to avoid singing along because the chorus is so catchy, but try not to in front of your partner since the consequences could be really bad...

8. Sel'm - 鬼哭啾啾 (kikoku shuushuu)

9. DEZERT - 君の子宮を触る (kimi no shikyuu o sawaru)
Another example for all-Japanese songs with very questionable lyrics...
"君の子宮を触る (kimi no shikyuu o sawaru)" basically means "I touch your uterus". Without further investigating the actual meaning of this let's just all agree that we don't want people to stare at us when they actually understood this sentence...

10. VANESSA - ジャック・オフ (JACK OFF)
Most of you won't be surprised to hear that VANESSA or MEJIBRAY's lyrics aren't always the best ones to sing out loud due to a lot of swearing and very sexual phrases. ジャック・オフ (JACK OFF) is an example for the latter. Lines like "You want me to put in?" or "Let me give you blow job!" make the whole song inappropriate in most situations. And that's actually sad again since it's a very jolly song to sing...
More dangerous would be sing along Haken Kreuz from Pierrot or Holocaust from Angelo. My ringtone is Dezert right now.
ReplyDeleteMy Devil on the Bed is counted 😂
ReplyDeleteAltough it's not as "Strong" as the others but still...
"Temp me by masturb*tion"
