Just as New York-based Sol Ardour announced going on hiatus, vocalist Shola Aurora revealed he would be going solo with his debut EP NEGLECT. Taking heavy influence from artists such as GACKT, DIR EN GREY, the GazettE and LUNA SEA, Shola will explore his own personal musical style. Mixing visual kei, goth, metal, glam, rock and experimental music, Shola creates a dark, mysterious world by including his own experiences. Shola's music tells the story of a lonely observer, a fallen demi-god in the world who is in search of their purpose. His lyrics reflect the thoughts of this fallen demi-god, narrating their journey while touching the listener's most dormant emotions.
Shola's EP NEGLECT will be available in two types: regular and limited edition. Both will be digital releases; however, the special limited edition will have 8 tracks, include a physical copy of the EP, a metal poster of the album artwork. Since the limited edition will include the metal poster, only 50 copies will be sold for $80 each. The regular edition will only be a 5-track digital release. Those who pre-order either edition of NEGLECT will get the song "Requiem" in advance, which you can listen to below! The digital copies will be available in high-quality audio files such as mp3, FLAC, and more.
