Sol Ardour is currently the fourth featured band for the Long Island, NY show of VANS WARPED TOUR in the Journey's Sponsored tournament Battle of the Bands. Should they land a spot on the tour, this could mark the first time a visual band to participates on VANS WARPED TOUR, ever!
Each year WARPED TOUR holds this competition (Battled of the Bands) to allow newers bands a chance to get noticed in the underground scene. For months the participating bands and fans battle it out to show which band has what it takes to create the most buzz on the internet. Fans do their part by showing their support for their favorite band by sharing, tweeting, playing songs, and leaving comments. At the end of the tournament, the top 100 contestants will be judged by industry professionals to pick the best acts representing the new sounds of WARPED TOUR. Bands who win, will play in front of thousands of attendees, thus allowing them the opportunity to gain recognition for their talent.
The contest ends in June, and Sol Ardour has a very high chance of making the roster! This would be a first for them, and for visual kei. Please cheer them on!
