Rock legend's hide's unreleased song, Co Gal (子 ギャル) will finally be going on sale. This song will be part of his memorial album that will be released on December 10th, his 50th birthday, by the same name. This song originally was supposed to be released on hide's third solo album, Ja, Zoo, as a demo track back in November 1998. However, before he could finished the track, hide passed away, leaving only some lyrics.
The song now has the chance to be finished and released due to Yamaha's VOCALOID program by using vocal data of his voice and finishing the rest with their voice converter to imitate hide's voice as closely as possible. Yamaha afterwards gave the product to be finished by I.N.A who has worked with hide during his career.
Co Gal will come in two types, the Regular Edition and the Limited Edition. The Regular Edition will come with just a CD containing 16 songs.It will cost 3240 yen.
The Limited Edition will come with a CD, a DVD and special album photo sleeve. The CD will contain 16 songs as the regular edition, plus an extra track containing the demo version of "Co Gal". The DVD will contain Ko Gal's promotional video, a surprise performance video, and 14 promotional videos of his songs. It will cost 4104 yen.
