the GazettE - WARNING for "SPOOFING"

Yesterday, the GazettE made an important Facebook post warning their fans of "spoofing." By this, they mean when someone is impersonating one of the band members or staff and, in their name, request a favor from the fans they have made contact with. While this act is illegal, many seem to be getting away with it and now the band is taking action.

Here is a message from the GazettE and staff via their Facebook page:

■ WARNING for "SPOOFING" ■

Recently, we often receive the "spoofing" damage reports from fans. These damages incurred by a person who pretend to be our artist. Some ask for a money by using the names of the artists.
Our artists never take an personal contact to an individual fan in person by such as sending a direct mail in any reason.
Please note that those "spoofing" should never be trusted, it could be a crime against an artist and yourself.

Even if you have suffered a loss or damage some, we will not assume any responsibility.
Please be aware of this type of crime.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.
