Introducing: RAVE LA KILL + Single Reviews

Today, we bring you a full profile article on the brand new band RAVE LA KILL (RLK). RAVE LA KILL  is a Brooklyn based digital rock band who formed earlier this year. They released their debut one-track single Born To Be on February 11th, which is currently available on iTunes for $0.99.With a line-up of Eric Jayk (WILDSTREET) on vocals and guitar, Felix Skiver (Sick Mind, Danny Blu) also on guitar, and Jason "J-Bomb" Harrison (Sex Slaves) on drums, this band's one track discography has made quite the impression across the web and, from the looks of it, will be able to take the internet by storm if they keep it up with these catchy tunes.

"The track paints an honest, autobiographical picture, on top of an industrial swing backbeat, electronic mayhem, and guitar heroics!"

Now, the band is set to release a new one-track single entitled One Tattoo on July 29th - and we have a pre-release review in-store for you!

Born to Be

Let us begin reviewing "Born to Be" with their single cover. I'm pretty much in love with this single cover due to its interesting design. It has this unique aura that draws me to it and I highly believe there's a good reason behind its artwork.

Honestly, this song introduces the mood well right at the beginning. This track is amazing to me simply because it brings in the concept of not just rock, but also rap. All the rhyming of several "-tion" fits the tune and I could just sing along with it well. The song also mentions "a leap of faith is all it takes" and "don't be afraid, no matter what they say" which I think should be mottos that all of us should live by! This song will be a true inspiration, even just by listening to it.

I would rate this single 9/10 and I'm not being biased right now at all. Let's just say, "welcome to the revolution". A well written song, and something I would recommend people to listen to.

One Tattoo

"One Tattoo", what is the reason behind this single that they have to give it this name? Interestingly, this song has its own uniqueness, a simple sense of emotional melody when listening to this. I suppose they were using the idea of personification on a tattoo to that of someone dear. I mean, it's really rather interesting that somebody would ever think about using a tattoo to describe a person. I would commend them for doing this as it fits well with .rock bands. I don't say this to be stereotypical, but it's common to have tattoos while in this part of the music industry.

The single cover was not as attractive as "Born to Be" was but still something worth taking attention to! After all, they did mention "you're just the one tattoo I need" which probably explains why the person was crying - not being able to be with his love. Though I have to say this song gets mundane after awhile...

Lastyly, I have to rate this single only a 6/10 for my own personal taste. Although I have been brought into the mood of the song well, I have to say I'm not the kind of person who goes so deep into sadness - I prefer more of lively songs. Of course, it is still a great song and you could possibly have differing views!

I have to say that these 2 songs have a deep contrast between them and shows overall how versatile RAVE LA KILL could be. In general, this band is just amazing and is doing a great job in their genesis. I highly recommend you guys to support them by purchasing their single via iTunes and if you aren't so sure about this decision yet, feel free to visit their OHP and have a listen to their samples of the 2 singles!
