Today's article is about somthing that might be already quite familiar to you (at least when you're a Sadie fan).
Its about the Collaboration of Midas x Sadie !
The latest releases are already about half a year ago, but still I am going to introduce the concept behind this Band x Fashionbrand collaboration at this example.
The Shibuya 109's men brand Midas, which usually designs for dandy street Visual Kei, Hosts or just fashionable young japanese men already worked together with Sadie a few times.
For Jewelry, clothes and bandmerchandise.
The reason behind this teamwork is simple:
Sadie have got a way of casually selling merchandise and getting promoted to people who like Midas, but haven't discovered the band yet - and Midas get high sales throught the fans becoming customers of their collab pieces, and get promoted by the band as well - because not only their band collaborations are stylish and fashionable.
So, you see, one hand washes the other.
Here are some pictures of Midas x Sadie's latest collection (and, in this case, official band look).
on vocal: Mao - a plain and casual street VK look - tight and slightly bleached pants, some lace top and a leathercoat, matched up by some little rocking accessoires like a sidebelt and a collar necklace.
Kei on drums - wearing a long wooly cardigan in black, added to a diagonal cut shirt in black and white. A long necklace with fethers and romantic playing charms gives the outfit a touch of being dreamy, which gets a contrast from the black/red bleach pants and the knee high lether boots. An easy going street VK look as well: not too flashy, not too plain.
Tsurugi who plays the leadguitar might have one of the most complicated outfit: Wrap pants and a drape top, featuring a long cardigan whose sleeves only reach the elbow. Matched by armwarmers and a scarf this outfit plays with the comfy but still rocking layer look, which is useful for early spring days (when the collection was released) - you can easily add one more item when it becomes cooler, but you're also able to remove one when its warmer. In the end you will keep the effect.
Mizuki on guitar officially said he stopped crossdressing, still, he has the most female outfit, in my opinion:
A short tartan blazer, with a drape-layer top which is dominated by the color difference and the waterfall neckline. His Pants are covered by the half of a skirt and some playful golden chains. The whole outfit gets a little masculiner with the boots which are rounding up everything.
Last but not least: Bassist Aki's outfit, which looks definitly the most badass. Cargopants which are laced up with ribbons, heavy belts and a sleeveless top, covered by a leather west with various buckles. An infinity scarf with tartan pattern and lots of heavy silver jewelry give the badass look another push.
The biker boots are matching the rest of the complete heaviness.
Its definitly one of those street Visual Kei looks that say: don't touch me, I'm dangerous.
All these outfits are matching the band member's images and personal styles, but also, all items were shortly on sale online and of course in the 109 Men's building in Tokyo, Shibuya.
Even if you might not like Sadie's music: definitly check out Midas if you're looking for some boyish, casual Visual kei clothing.
