SURGE ~ outofdesperation - Introduction

Hello VK fans! It is my pleasure to introduce to you a fairly new band called SURGE - outofdesperation or SURGE for short. SURGE is a Brazilian Visual Kei band that first came to the scene in 2010. By the end of 2010 SURGE was already lined up to do their first concert at Otaku Spirits on Belo Horizonte. Since then they have steamrolled playing 9 more lives over the past few years with up to 2,000 attendees at one of the lives. It was at one such live, Anime BH 2011 with their impressive musical and visual quality that they attracted the interest of a Japanese label. Which they have been working closely and recording their first album! There is no release date yet but we will keep you posted when we have new information.

Their style is influenced by Visual Kei, Angura Kei and Nagoya Kei. The band consists of 5 members. Vocals and the leader is Kazuki Yagami. Guitarists are Ale Verukan and Smash. Bass is played by Dayrell. Last and certainly not least the drums are mastered by Tai Kioshi. In just a few years they have grown to 26,000 hits on their blog and have fans from all over the world including Japan, US, Germany and Russia just to name a few. Of course there are fans from many other countries but I would be here all day listing them. They have also been seen in the media. Just recently they had a feature on the well known VijuLoveCafe. SURGE has also had an article written in a Japanese magazine ZOUSS no.88. This is a great band, definitely worth a listen to and they have great potential.
