From the looks of it, MU: seems to
have had a very good start out since their debut in April. Starting with their
pre-on-man live back in May and handing out their live limited edition CD to
having another one coming up this September on the 23rd. Since August started they have had a
few PV previews and a video comment. Now, they have released their first PV,
Yumemigaoka ~returno del Alma~.
This song is pretty freaken cool. It was also
unexpecting. It’s a great mix between some soft flowing rock music with some
electronic melodies in the song every once and a while. The main instrument in
this song would be the bass.
The song is incredibly bass heavy to the point where you seem to be only listening to the bassist’s riffs instead of the guitars’.
To compare this song to a similar sounding genre, it gives
off the feeling of classical and Spanish, mostly because of how much low end
there is, with little electronic melodies from the synth riff it has during
little breaks in between the singing.
MU: starts the
song with a very strong rhythmic intro, not too driving, but also not to heavy.
It's a very easy intro to bob your
head to or you can jump up and down like the singer does. The intro goes on for
about a minute before going into a small change to put in a clap right before
going into the first verse.
The whole main parts of the song, meaning the verses and chorus
are very easy to follow, due to the fact that during the transitions into those
it doesn't change much. A big change though is the one thing that will make
your ears happy. After the first time MU: finishes the chorus, at around 2:14,
the guitarist throws himself into a very epic solo. So epic the band follows
the beginning of the change before going back into the chorus after the solo is
done. The guitar had changed he’s effects from a chorus acoustic sound to an
ear shredding distortion.
Applaud the boys for their first full PV! Then look out for
their CD coming out this September!
