Interview with PLUNKLOCK

Another interview for this week!
This time, we'd like to thank Kanzen Music and their Promotion Team for enabling VKH to ask PLUNKLOCK several questions before/during their Europe Tour (February - March 2012) via e-mail!
Of course, we also want to thank the band for taking their time to answer all of our questions!
Please enjoy reading everyone!

Note: The band answered most questions during their tour, so they haven't visited all countries at that time yet.

VKH: What are you expecting from your shows, the fans and yourselves?

Haruka: It is important that fans like us and have fun at the concerts. I like that when we play we can make people scream and I expect that I can do this in all the countries we're going to visit. I feel their love.
Halo: I don`t speak English but I feel that I connect with fans through music.
Kazuki: I want to give my best to don't disappoint the fans, I feel their energy during the lives and I don`t want to disappoint them.
Pinky: I feel that on this tour I’m surrounded by wonderful people so I want to give them the best I can.

VKH: How was your flight from Japan to Europe? Has everything been alright?

All: The flight was very long, for about 10 hours but we were so excited about coming to Europe that we couldn't even sleep or eat during the flight. We didn`t even feel the tiredness.
Kazuki : My ears were hurting during the flight!

VKH: Have you been able to do some sightseeing in the cities you visited?

Haruka: We have visited Moscow – the red square. We want to see the Eifel tower in France.
Halo: I wanted to see Vienna and I already did it tonight. I won`t even sleep because I want to see it. Schonbrunn Palace, Danube river and Saint Steven square. I don`t know that much about Romania, Poland but I will soon.
Kazuki: I can`t wait to visit Germany, the Netherlands and see aurora in Finland.
Pinky: I want to see entire Europe and play in every country!

VKH: Have you seen a difference between Japanese and European audience, or have you felt that there’s a difference between playing concerts in Europe and Japan in general?

Haruka: I think Japanese audience is shy. European fans have a lot of energy during concerts.
Halo: I like to see how European audience enjoys the concerts. They give us power to make powerful concerts. Power transfer!
Kazuki: European fans can't always see our lives. So that`s why in one live they have full power and full response to our concerts.
Pinky: European people respect rock music and I feel that they really love our music. In Europe, we have towels for the fans, but in Japan they gave us PLUNKLOCK towels as presents. Haruka has a gold one, Kazuki's is red, Halo has a silver one and I have a blue towel.

VKH: Is there something or someone that made you want to play the instrument you are playing (or be a Vocalist), like a certain musician that inspires you?

Haruka: I always get inspiration from American and European rock. I respect the band Korn a lot.
Halo: I am inspired by Malice Mizer and Hyde from L`Arc~En~Ciel.
Kazuki: I’m inspired by Hide, from X Japan.
Pinky: I`m inspired by Yoshiki.

VKH: PLUNKLOCK already released two Singles. What have been your influences when you were recording the songss, especially for the lyrics?

Halo: Past and future memories, the four seasons.
Kazuki: Bonds between people and everything that surrounds them.

VKH: Foreign people often have difficulties to understand the lyrics of japanese songs. Halo, can you tell us what the lyrics of your song “Breakout” are about?

Halo: Breakout is the story of PLUNKLOCK and what we mean as a band.

VKH: Now you already got the chance to tour in Europe. Could you imagine to visit other countries in for example America or Asia for concerts, too?

All: We want to tour the entire world and of course we can see us there. We dreamed about Europe too, and here we are!

VKH: What are PLUNKLOCK’s future plans?

Haruka: We want to become famous and get a gold platinum disk!
Kazuki: We have many dreams and plans and we work very hard to accomplish them. One of our dreams was touring in Europe, so we are accomplishing them step by step.

VKH: A message from PLUNKLOCK for their fans:

Haruka: I appreciate your support. My dream coming to Europe comes true so I’m happy to see so many people as part of this achievement.
Halo: I would like to become your dream.
Kazuki: Dreams come true and I hope I don`t catch a cold.
Pinky: I want to hear all the fans screaming my name : “We love PINKY”!
