As there are more and more bands breaking up this year, I think this isn't a bad idea, even though it's a bit depressing and maybe makes people worry if it's true that Visual Kei is dying...
If you want, I can make a post with bands formed this year, too.

I can't believe it. It's only April! Can you make one of bands formed this year too? This is just too depressing.
ReplyDeletei think a large amount of disbandments is just a sign that most of the bands that weren't really committed have been weeded out (usually those who thought being in a band would be easy or those who are pretty but can't really produce music). then there are some of the quality bands as well but it's not the majority in this list, as you can see. it really has nothing to do with if vkei is dying or not. just like you wrote, you have to look at all the formed bands too, there are tons of them! :0
ReplyDeleteI agree with hongy. I've found a lot of bands just formed in March! It's interesting really. The bands I'm surprised are disbanding are DOREMIdan, Aicle, Administrator, Luzmelt, NEXX and NightingeiL o.o

ReplyDeleteI'm so sad DOREMIdan and Aicle disbanded... but I agree with what others have said, for the most part, a lot of these bands just didn't work out for some reason or another, and they quickly disbanded after forming. But look at all the bands that have formed! You've gotta expect some disbanding with that kind of rate.
ReplyDeleteI agree with hongy. I'm quite sure there are at least as much new formations as bands disbanding, we just only remember the ones breaking up, so it seems like there are many more...
