Putting it all together

Now that you have and or know all the items you need, it's time to put the pieces together!
A lot of oshare kei clothing involves "DIY" (do it yourself). Ties are a good place start. One can attach safety pins, pins, buttons, chains, and zippers to ties and bow ties to alter them to your liking. But aside from accessories, putting the clothes together is important! you can't just throw them all on at once! Let us start with over sized shirts!

For oversized shirts, one must where them with leggings or tights. The leggings must contrast against the shirt, not too out of wack but it should not match completely. And if your wearing an over sized shirt that is big on your, but doesn't hit the knee and shows the thigh area, i recommend using those booty shorts. Then put on some chunky shoes, big chunky shoes or high tops. This look is based on portion. The shirt is very big and your legs are what shows off the most, so you must slim your legs using leggings to cancel out how big the shirt is. then to even it out, the chunky shoes are big and boldgey so it goes with the big shirt. Necklaces and accessories should be big and chunky as well or at least wear a lot accessories.
(Tip: If you are unsure about having too many accessories on, always take the last thing you put on,off )

Usual everyday outfit - shirt, pants, shoes, jacket. Over decorated shirt with a patterned jacket and some fitting jeans and last but not least wear shoes that are completely contrast to everything you are wearing! (usually super colorful)
(Tip: Cheetah print is very oshare kei. Do not over do it with cheetah print, One item that is Cheetah print is perfect)

  1. I am confused as to the purpose of these articles, I love the "amai furiku?" pieces, they are why i come to this site, but this boy seems to have no real knowledge of his subject matter and i would wager even less of journalistic writing in general... Oshare is an outdated style, and these descriptions are often incorrect and sometimes incoherent, Im sure the moderators had good reason to add this feature and i mean no offense to the writer. I just wonder why with an already informative and well written fashion section; this bizarre-ness was needed? xxx
