Jrock Spotlight #13

So, next part for July 31st, the end of this month! If we look back there for sure isn't someone who disagrees when I say it was a depressing month... 4 musicians passed away, that's nearly as much as in the whole year of 2010. Not wondering that people are scared. But with the beginning of August let's try to walk straight ahead and to think positive no matter what happens.

Hope you're not disappointed that I took the band I took as band of the day but, well... I couldn't help it. They are my band of 2011. (^_^;)

Band of the Day:

LIPHLICH

Yes they are sadly still pretty unknown, but I guess everyone owning their 1st full Album 'SOMETHING WICKED COMES HERE' doesn't understand why since they are pretty good! Their sound is unique, a mix of Jazz, Rock, Gothic and 'Halloween' elements and everything working wonderfully with Vocalist Kuga's voice. People who visited their concerts were mostly impressed by their show. So please check out their Youtube Channel and Myspace, it's really worth it!

Decay

Even though they only uploaded instrumental samples in Youtube it already sounds great and promising! A band I'd definitely keep an eye on!

Hiroshi (Guitarist of Suicide Ali)

Some days ago Suicide Ali celebrated their 5th anniversary. And something that shouldn't be missing when you celebrate: CAKE! This seemed to be one of the best things about the anniversary for Hiroshi. 8 pictures of the same cake posted in Ameba in 7 different blogs. Wow. Someone loving cake sooo much simply has to be J-Rocker of the day! (Btw, that's his beloved cake!)
