Amai Furiku?
-The sweet freak's guide to VK fashion
This month, we have a makeup tutorial and shirt preview for you! First, though, we have news.
The Marui One International webstore is closing, quite possibly due to poor sales. Right now, for those outside of Japan, it is incredibly expensive to buy Japanese goods, and then plus postage, a $50 dollar shirt may become an $80 dollar shirt, or more with tax and import duties on top! So, I rather suspect people not splashing their cash so much on new items from Japan. Marui One currently has a big sale on and will shut 30th July, so get shopping while you can! Their postage is flat rate, so will stay the same no matter how much you buy. They stock brands such as 6%DokiDoki, Moi Meme Moitie, Super Lovers and many more.
Spinns have started selling cosplay items starting with Haruhi Suzumiya items. Although not strictly everyday fashion, the items look very well made and also have some tshirts, bags and other more everyday style pieces. They are available over on the Spinns Rakuten store (which unfortunately does not ship to the UK, but can ship via shopping services such as Tenso)
Onto this month's main topics; first, the new J Rock shirt from Edoh at SR: J Rock Updater. This time round, it will come in two different colourways - black on red and black on white - and pre orders are only £15 plus postage. The shirts are really well printed and the material is really nice and soft, well worth it to show your love for J rock!
Now, for the makeup I wore in the promo shot for the red shirt! With Versailles just announcing their new tour, I went a little vampire happy and came up with this look for you.
You will need to start with a clean face and then follow your normal foundation routine.
Other items you will need:
-White pencil eyeliner
-White eyeshadow/pressed powder
-Black pencil eyeliner
-Red pencil eyeliner
-Brown pencil eyeliner/lipliner
-Black liquid eyeliner
-Black mascara
-Black eyeshadow
Optional:
-Glittery black eyeliner
-Glittery black mascara
-Red eyeshadowSo first you're going to want to cover most of the lid with your white pencil liner and smudge it. This creates a nice base for the eyeshadow. Next, cover the entire lid, up the the browbone and below the lashline, with a white eyeshadow. Following this, also partially line your waterline with the black pencil liner.
Next, take your red pencil eyeliner and mark out a shape like shown in the picture. I lined below the waterline, along the top of the upper lashline and then around and over the crease. Following this, smudge it in to create an even coating.
Now, taking your brown eyeliner, follow a similar shape as the red, but wing out the edges to create cat like eyes. You may want to smudge this as well.
With the liquid liner, line your eyes, again following the shape you have already made, and wing it out to around halfway between where your eye ends and the brown eyeliner wing ends.
Lastly, apply mascara and sort your eyebrows as you normally would. You may want to add black eyeshadow to darken the outer corners of your eyes a little, and use a sparkly eyeliner to go over the black liquid liner to add another dimension to it. You could also use sparkly mascara.
I teamed this look with very pale skin, pink blush and dark red lips.
