PS Company has finally broken the silence on the matter of not accepting global fanclub memberships, as we had reported earlier.
The official Myspace blogs of bands such as The GazettE and Alice Nine say the following:
To the members of the PS COMPANY artist fan clubs living outside Japan
We sincerely appreciate your support for the PS COMPANY artists.
We are sorry for any trouble or inconvenience that was caused by speculations and rumors concerning current fan club members living overseas. Moreover, we apologize for delayed information and communication through an official announcement which should have been done in advance.
PS COMPANY officially launched the GLOBAL PS COMPANY FAN CLUB in October 2011 to enhance the service for fans living outside Japan as compared to before. Also, this GLOBAL FC was established due to the passionate requests from many overseas fans.
This service is provided for people living outside of Japan and was launched for the purposes and reasons stated below:
1.To provide a better and enhanced service.
2.To ensure the possibility of attending events held in Japan for people participating from overseas.
3.To improve our customer care system with a smoother correspondence for the various inquiries from overseas.
4.While fans living outside Japan came to join the existing fan club, we found that we can not keep providing a fulfilling service with the same membership fees.
We were concerned about the situations of overseas fans using intermediary companies with expensive conditions to join the existing fan clubs and to purchase concert or events tickets at unreasonable prices because they could not be bought smoothly.
Moreover, with the existing fan club system we were not able to provide neither enough correspondence nor fulfilling care for people living overseas and therefore we wanted to create an environment to somehow fulfill these needs.
However, we found this was impossible to solve with the existing fan club system. Therefore, we decided to establish this new GLOBAL FAN CLUB to solve these problems as a system to satisfy everyone.
We believe that we can now solve these issues and provide a fulfilling and satisfactory service along with customer care by having launched the GLOBAL PS COMPANY FAN CLUB.
As of today, we take comments posted to Twitter and other bulletin board systems very seriously for continued mutual consultation.
As we will announce future action through the official and relevant sites as soon as we have summarized the contents of the discussions, we beg your patience for the moment..
