Amai Furiku?
-The sweet freak's guide to VK fashion
As the days grow shorter and the nights are looking more sparkly, you know that the Christmas season is nearing.
So, for this month's Amai Furiku? we have a Christmas special packed with all of the sparkly, snuggly, wonderful things that Christmas brings!
I always find myself putting on more and more glitter around this time of year. I love winter and I love the look of icy mornings. I also love the look of glistening Christmas trees covered in tinsel and baubles. Here are a couple of wintery makeup ideas (that are simple too!)
As usual, please click all images for full-view!
Here you can see I drew baubles and tinsel using pencil eyeliner and glitter gel liner. For the other look, I went with a more cold, icy look using blue eyeshadows and glitter. I drew the stars on with a black liquid eyeliner. You could go over them with glitter too! For demonstration purposes, I went with a relatively simple red-pink lip gloss.
For those who want to look their best this season, here are some adorable outfit ideas from the out of this world, Popi Atom!
These outfits include items from brands such as Vivienne Westwood and Angelic Pretty, but for those who can't quite afford those, try highstreet stores and ebay for similar items to customise! For example, the AP boots could easily be imitated by painting some good old welly boots and right now, many stores are selling thick knit jumpers, fur shawls and tutu skirts.

Lastly, Christmas hair.
This one is often a toughie. I love having my hair dyed bright colours (and my favourites have to be blue and purple) but for some this may not be an option. However, there are definitely some ways you can spruce up your hair into a magical Christmas look in no time at all!
I have wanted one of the 6% Doki Doki star clips for a long while, but could never afford one. My luck took a turn for the better when I found these pretty blue star Christmas tree decorations in a general store. It cost £1.48 for a pack of 3 (which is about $2.30) and I had previously bought a packet of crocodile hair clips (easily found on Etsy or in general stores). Taking some superglue and some thread, I tied the stars onto the clip and then glued the top of the top star to the clip for extra stability.
Most superglues only take a short time to dry, so within an hour, I had a pretty, sparkly hairclip, very much alike the 6% Doki Doki one, but at a very tiny fraction of the price!
Clip these in and you'll feel more festive in no time.
Another great way to spice up your hair is to take a visit to a Christmas store or even a garden supplies store and search through their ranges of tinsel and tree decorations. One year, I came home to find that my mum had bought me 2 huge teal coloured feather flowers that are covered in glitter! They are mounted on crocodile clips so make perfect hair accessories.
Even using odds and ends from previous year's decorations; maybe you had some tinsel that broke, maybe you had some baubles that don't match the rest of the tree, you can make lovely hair pieces.
For these, I used some clips and wrapping decorations from a card store and used the double sided tape on the bobbles to stick them to the hair clips. This is great quick way of making some hair accessories. For a more long term fix, remove most of the tape on the bobbles and use superglue to adhere the clip to the bobble. I think these look particularly cute teamed with the star clip I made, and my brand new 6% Doki Doki earring!
As well as the above ideas working great for Christmas, with a little adjustment, some will work really nicely for New Years too.
My last Christmas tip for you guys?
Have fun, keep warm, and enjoy the holidays!
So. Ridiculously. Cute. *-*
