Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce you to not necessarily a new band but a new band to Visual Kei Heaven! This phenomenal band formed in Tokyo and has been around since October 2001, surprisingly with the same line up.

MERRY is a Japanese rock band and former angura kei band, with influences from jazz, blues and punk rock.
The band’s music and lyrical imagery are likely influenced by the liberal Taisho and early Showa era, a period of significant artistic and musical movement when Japan shifted further towards Western concepts, and industrialization brought jazz and blues to Japanese culture. Similarly, MERRY fuse the these genres with rock music to create a “modern avant-garde” sound, or “modern-garde” as their second album is named. Along with cali≠gari, MERRY are also noted for their early “eroguro” (erotic, grotesque) themes.
MERRY has gone through a few name changes that some of you may be familiar with! Starting out as メリー to Merry and now MERRY (uppercased) after being signed to FREE-WILL Co., Ltd in 2010.
Their most recent single クライシスモメント (Crisis Moment) was their second release on their newest label and was released on October 6th, 2010.
On the same day as their クライシスモメント (Crisis Moment) release, they announced another single to be realeased on December 1st titled 夜光 (Yakou).
