Fake Bids on Yoshiki's Crystal Piano?

Earlier we had reported that Yoshiki would be auctioning off his famous crystal piano. The auction, partnered with Yahoo! had been going very well from the minute it began on April 17th, 2011. Within three days, the highest bid was a whopping ¥6,000,000,000 [USD 73,000,000]. This was when Yahoo! chose to suspend the auction temporarily in order to confirm the credibility of the bidders.
After all the fake bids had been removed, the price of the piano fell to ¥50,057,000 [USD 650,000]. The auction will end as scheduled on the night of 24th April, 2011, with all proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross.
